itouch versus iphone?

I have an insatiable desire to own the latest gadgets and gizmos. Both my phone and Mp3 player are out of date by my standards and I am considering buying the itouch or the iphone.

Price is a main concern. I only have £1400 to live on for the next 14 weeks and also have to pay £600-£800 on rent (as well as food, even though I don’t eat much :)

I’ve heard that the itouch has been designed with limitations in order to create a thirst for the iphone itself. If you own either the itouch or iphone, how do you feel about the device?

And lastly, if you wouldn’t mind, where could I purchase the iphone at the cheapest price? I think it would be cheaper in the long run to buy the phone on pay as you go. I have O2 simplicity = £20/month which suits my usage requirements.

Thank You very much for answering this question, if you do =)

Don’t spend your money on something you can’t afford at the moment. Its not worth it. but if you do get the tmobile G1 its way better and a lot more inexspensive. Ther I phone is way overrated and if you get the itouch you have to always worry about getting wifi connecrtion since it ain’t a phone and you will only be able to access it with wifi open.
