I’m pretty sure that ATT has a lock on it for 5 solid years. That’s what the Verizon guy told me when I asked. Looks like us Verizon users will either have to hold out for it or switch networks.
Considering Apple ATT have an exclusive 5 year contract I highly doubt it. If you’re interested in a phone such as the iPhone, check out the LG Voyage and the LG Dare from Verizon. Very similar phones and 3G network as well. I have the Dare and it’s great!
No, unfortuanetly. ATT and Apple have a contract. In the mean time there are other touch screen and music playing phones you should look at. I personally am waiting for the HTC Diamond in November.
Verizon uses a different hardware than what ATT and the iPhone uses. The iPhone might some day in the distant future come with the hardware to work with Verizon and other carriers, but not for awhile.
One thing of interest is that the iPhone has given ATT the incentive to work on their infrastructure, building more towers and advancing 3G technology.
No, because Att and Apple have a contract that binds the iPhone to Att. The iPhone is a GSM phone (a type of network that Att and T-Mobile use) and Verizon is a CDMA network (used by Sprint, Verizon, Alltel, and pretty much every other carrier in the US). I doubt that Apple would make a CDMA version of the iPhone, anyway. If you really want an iPhone, I would just switch to Att.

The iPhone is with ATT until 2010. It’s also a GSM phone- Verizon uses CDMA phones.
