If Internet is a big thing then the iPhone cause you can get Internet wherever you have service. If its mainly music and videos, iPod touch. It won't ruin your battery on your phone. Also, its cheaper in the long run but you will need to get the $9.99 upgrade fee to get the 2.0 software if you want the applications. It all depends on what you are going to use it for.
