should i buy an ipod touch, or an iphone 3g?

ive heard rumors that the new iphone is going to tack on a bunch of extra fees when i activate it, so i was wondering whether it would be better to get a 16 gig ipod touch, or to just stick with getting an iphone.

Depends…if you want the phone/ipod/internet device combo and you can get the discount price of $199 on the iPhone, you should get it. the iPod touch starts at $299 so it is already $100 more for the device itself, and you don’t have the benifit of a phone.

And there are no hidden fees for activation, service of the iPhone from ATT starts at $70/per month and that includes unlimited data/email/internet use.

It all depends on what you are going to use it for. If Internet is a big thing then the iPhone cause you can get Internet wherever you have service. If its mainly music and videos, iPod touch. It won’t ruin your battery on your phone. Also, its cheaper in the long run but you will need to get the $9.99 upgrade fee to get the 2.0 software if you want the applications.
